This website is run by Llanmartin Primary School. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website, regardless of ability or technology.

How accessible this website is

We aim to make this website accessible in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

We want users to be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts

  • zoom in up to 400% without text spilling off the screen

  • navigate most of the website using a keyboard

  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software

  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We have also aimed to make the website content as clear and simple as possible.

Advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability is available from AbilityNet.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is not fully accessible for the following reasons:

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  • Some PDF and Word documents are not fully accessible to screen reader users

  • Some older documents may not include appropriate structure, headings, or alternative text

Disproportionate burden

We are currently reviewing older documents and content. Updating all historical documents immediately would place a disproportionate burden on the school.

However:

  • Essential information will be provided in accessible formats on request

  • Where possible, new content will be published in accessible formats (such as web pages rather than PDFs)

What we are doing to improve accessibility

We are actively working to improve accessibility by:

  • replacing inaccessible documents with accessible formats

  • reviewing and updating existing content

  • carrying out regular accessibility checks against WCAG 2.2 AA standards

  • providing staff guidance on creating accessible content
