Autumn 2 Week 1

Dosbarth Cardiff had a magical time at Festive, the Christmas shop in Cwmbran this week. Of course, we did have a job to do-to find out how the shop works and what it sells. It was the most enjoyable work we have done this year! It has certainly given us lots of ideas for Enterprise work!

Autumn 1 Week 8

In Outdoor learning this week we talked about the different types of insects and bugs that can be found during the Autumn time. We learnt new information about slugs and that there are many different types. We had fun outside searching for different insects. We used identification sheets to find out the names of different slugs and snails.

Autumn 1 Week 7

This week we did a lot of weeding in our class raised bed.

Then we planted daffodil bulbs.

Autumn 1 Week 6

Dosbarth Cardiff have been number crunching this week! We have counted forwards and backwards orally, on a number line and a hundred square. Then we calculated 1 more and 1 less of a number. Da iawn pawb!

Autumn 1 Week 5

After learning about how the Welsh flag came to be we created a flag to represent our school, using natural objects that we collected around the school grounds.

Autumn 1 Week 4

In our Outdoor Learning lesson we created a story strip with a beginning, middle and end, collecting natural objects to represent the route of our walk

Autumn 1 Week 3

We had such fun heating materials this week so much so that we got to eat scrambled egg on toast (jam was available for those who didn’t like egg!).

Autumn 1 Week 2

We have listened to the Christian Creation story and have started to create it through art. We painted the land and water.

Autumn 1 Week 1

Dosbarth Cardiff have settled beautifully into their new class. We have enjoyed getting to know each other and the classroom. We have been busy showing Mrs McCormick how clever we are.
